Dr Jane Goodall is the world’s most well known expert on chimpanzees and a fervent activist for animal and environmental conservation, we were honoured to be able to present her with this exquisite bag, named after her.
This is a lovingly hand crafted bamboo bag woven by KL Ng. Mr. Ng, age 59 has two children and has been unable to walk due to childhood polio at age 3. He has been making bamboo crafts for the last 30 years which he learned to help support his family. We are proud to be working with him. The bag is completely bio-degradabe.
Each bag includes an embroidered 100% cotton dust bag stitched by a Pakistani refugee in Malaysia, which can be reused to hold the bag or to store valuables inside the bag.
Leather handles are sold separately. These handles have been lovingly hand cut and hand embossed by a small shoe factory in Klang, Malaysia from waste leather.
10% of the sale of each bag is donated to 2 charities supporting trafficking survivors, the homeless and vulnerable groups.
